A Vest-ed Interest

Hi, friends! It's Jessie, and I'm excited to share my very first DD post with you here today!

We're in the midst of getting settled into our new home in Hoboken, NJ at the moment (read: no internet at our flat yet!), so I'm just going to keep it simple with some outfit photos featuring my very first Delightful Dozen swap item!

I knew that I loved this fringey crocheted vest the moment I saw sweet Andrea rocking it on the beach, but I forgot that I'd be wearing it during a chillier season... It arrived right before Halloween, and I knew I'd have to be creative in my styling efforts to make it work for the season at hand.

I paired it with a few of my wardrobe staples: a vintage silk tunic (that I made from a ripped full length dress!), fun leggings, shiny flats & a floppy black hat.

shop:
hat - j. crew, tunic - vintage, leggings - colfax (local KC boutique)
neckalce - vintage, bracelet - donna's (local KC boutique),
vest - swapped! (andrea's), flats - c/o blowfish shoes

Hope you liked my fall-version of Andrea's summery piece, and I know I'm looking forward to seeing how it's styled up next (probably winging it's way to Indiana of Adored Austin, as I type)!

I'd love to hear how YOU would turn this into a year-round item... Feel free to share your ideas in the comments!

I love it. You made such a beautiful tunic from a dress, and paired it perfectly with the vest. Great choice. Dawn Suitcase Vignettes xo

Can I first say how excited I am to see you over here?!? Love your spin on this vest. Those leggings are amazing!

I dig the bohemian vibe of the vest, so I'd try layering it up with a faux fur vest and wide legs jeans.

I just visited Hoboken a few days ago (after not having been for a few years - I grew up in NJ but moved to Los Angeles in 2009). I was STOKED to see an influx of awesome food options. I got dinner at maoz falafel - check it out if you've never been! sooo good. I really like how hoboken is looking these days! <3 NJ
