Meet Illy of much love, illy!

Yay! We are again so excited to announce our fourth newest member! Meet Illy of much love, illy. We are so excited for Illy's super sweet personality to join the group. We are constantly inspired by her unique and colorful outfits, outgoing personality and gorgeous smile. We can't wait to collaborate with her and to see her rock some of our swapped pieces! 1. When and why did you start much love, illy?

I started much love, illy back in February 2010 for two reasons: 1) Most of my friends and family were starting blogs, and I wanted to keep in better touch with them 2) I needed a creative outlet outside of my current job. I often took photos of my adventures in the city (living in Chicago at the time) and so started to record my daily life and load them onto the blog. And since Pinterest didn't exist, I would also post some of the fashion or DIY inspiration that I would come across while online. It kept me recharged and inspired - especially on the gloomiest of Chicago winters and the dullest of weekdays!

2. Tell us a little bit about your Etsy shop.

much love, illy the shop is a handmade accessories shop, featuring felt poppy garland headbands, vintage-inspired corsage, big hair bows, jewelry, and more! Everything is handmade and with much love! It's been a fantastic experience - more than I ever imagined it to be. There is an odd sense of joy with the making something and knowing that some complete stranger wears it and love it that much!

3. Tell us a bit about your future-husband-to-be!

Ryan is my best friend and the man of my dreams! He is hilarious, supportive, good-looking, and shares a lot of the same dreams and passions that I share. He is also a saint when it comes to taking my outfit photos and is a constant encouragement when it comes to my blog or biz. We cannot wait to be married and start our adventure of life together. I could not have asked for a better soul mate and friend.

4. What is another passion of yours other than fashion/style?

I'm definitely passionate about writing - I always refer to it as my first love. In college, I was a Communications - Print Media major and as a little girl, you would always catch me reading or writing in my journal. On my list of life goals, writing a novel is definitely one of them! Oh, and I'm also passionate about food - really good food. Yum.

5. What are you most excited for in the Delightful Dozen?

I am a huge fan of community - online and off - and I am excited to be a part of this community which in turn inspires an even larger community! I am also super girly so, of course, I'm giddy about this sweet batch of fantastic ladies! I'm totally digging the variety and am excited to contribute my own eclectic style and personality to the mix. And not gonna lie - who wouldn't excited to trade clothes with this fab bunch?!
