Meet... Kikelomo of Style from 9 to 5!

Say hello to our second newest member... Kikelomo of {Style from 9 to 5}! We are so excited for what Kikelomo is going to bring to the table. We can't wait to see her remix some of our clothes! She's driven, unique and we're super proud to have her become part of the Delightful Dozen! Be sure to check out her blog and read her interview questions below to get to know her a bit better! Welcome, Kikelomo!

1. When and why did you start Style from {9 to 5}?

I started Style from {9 to 5} in August of 2011, when I began working for a new company that had a very formal and rigid dress code. I've always had a deep-seated admiration of personal style blogs, and found myself really searching for blogs that catered to the working woman. My goal then and now, is to have a place where corporate (and non-corporate) women can come to for inspiration that still caters to business-like sensibilities.

2. Tell us a little bit about your day job.

I'm rather limited in what I can divulge about my day job, as there are very strict policies pertaining to what can be said about the company, but I work for a national financial corporation. (Super vague, I know!)

3. What do you love most about living in Pittsburg?

As a native of Philly, I never saw myself living anywhere else in the world, but Pittsburgh has gotten a hold of me with its irresistible charm. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh, and I just love the home-y feel that the city has. Each neighborhood is unique and has its own nuances and I have lived all over the city. If I had to choose the ONE thing I love about Pittsburgh, it would be all of the bridges!

4. What is another passion of yours other than fashion/style?

An avid reader, I have always had an undying love of books and writing. Words have always spoken to me on a much deeper level than a photo has ever done. I have so many books that I could probably be featured on an episode of "Hoarders". From a very young age, I have kept journals detailing the mundane happenings of my life and perhaps one day I'll be important enough to pen an autobiography.

5. What are you most excited for in the Delightful Dozen?

I am most excited about meeting new women with whom I share a common interest. I truly look forward to developing new friendships!

Be sure to check out Kikelomo's blog, Style from {9 to 5}. You can also keep up to date with her on Facebook! Stay tuned for three more bloggers... coming this week and next!

welcome!

i, too, work in an industry that leans toward the conservative in terms of appropriate clothing... pharmaceuticals and strategy consulting. i love seeing other women continue to be creative with their style, and, in fact, even more so, because of restrictions with dress code.

cannot wait to see more of your looks!
