Painted Ladies: Worn 3 ways

Hi Delightful Dozen readers! Tieka here from Selective Potential. Since I just posted about this dress on my blog, I thought it would be fun to share the three ways it has been remixed in the Delightful Dozen. I love this dress; I couldn't pass up the fun print and peter pan collar! I found it really easy to remix too. The shorter length allowed it to work as a top paired with a maxi skirt and the colors are versatile enough to mix with bright or earthy colors. Plus, with it being sleeveless... this would look really cute with a top paired underneath! Here are the two ways I styled it... and one way that Annie of Time Enough for Drums, one of our past members, styled it!

i love enhancing the versatility and wearability of a dress by thinking of it in terms of either a top or a skirt; generally, i toss a wrap shirt or a chunky knit on, and go with skirt. pairing this with the maxi is well played!

Yes! I love stuffing dresses into skirts! (as long as they're not bulky)

I always think of the the Shakira song though "Underneath your clothes, there's an endless story" Whenever there is a cheesy song that has something to do with my outfit (aka bad puns/bad free association) it just goes on repeat in my head all day! haha

cute cute cute. When remixing my shorter dresses I sometimes tuck them in to a skirt but have never tried a maxi skirt. Thanks to the idea!!

It's amazing how different you all have made this one item look. It's so fun to think of clothes in terms of styling for yourself rather than trying to look like a mannequin.

What a cute idea to tuck the dress into the maxi skirt so it works like a top! Brilliant!
